Council Meeting

Be it resolved: THAT the Council agenda for September 17, 2025 be approved as presented.

THAT Council approve By-law 72-25, being a by-law to amend the zoning at 4433 Rideau River Road from Rural (RU) to Rural – Exception Zone (RU-74) to permit a contractor’s or trades’ establishment as an additional permitted use and to specify locations of landscaped open space, open storage locations and fencing requirements.

WHEREAS September 25th of each year is recognized across Ontario as Franco-Ontarian Day, commemorating the contributions of the Franco- Ontarian community to the cultural, historical, social, and economic fabric of the province; WHEREAS September 25, 2025, marks the 50th anniversary of the Franco- Ontarian flag, first raised in Sudbury in 1975, which has since become the official emblem of the Franco-Ontarian community; AND WHEREAS celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Franco-Ontarian Day promotes inclusivity, understanding, and recognition of the importance of French language and culture in Ontario; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Municipality of North Grenville hereby proclaims September 25, 2025, as Franco-Ontarian Day in the Municipality of North Grenville; AND THAT the Franco-Ontarian flag be raised on September 25, 2025 to honour the Francophone community and to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Franco-Ontarian flag.

Be it resolved: THAT the following consent agenda items be approved as presented:  Ontario Transit Investment Fund Transfer Payment Agreement; and,  Minutes of Previous Meetings.

Be it resolved: THAT By-law 73-25 to confirm the proceedings of Council at its regular meeting held on September 17, 2025 be adopted and passed.
